The inspiration for Wooden Nickel Farms began at our neighborhood pub, where we’ve been slingin’ high quality food and drink since 2003. Since day one, we’ve been known for three things: passion for food, commitment to community, and our scrappy desire to never stop improving our craft. Eventually, our quest to make the most perfect, tasty burger around led us to our scrappiest, boldest move yet: starting our own farm.
Today, we're a chef-owned, land-focused farm hellbent on doing things the right way. We feed our animals local, keep chemicals off our property, and are digging deep to regenerate 60 acres of tobacco land so that we, and future generations of NC farmers, can give the people what they deserve: good meats, raised right
